ARIES is a sweet sweet boy! He's never met a stranger. He's very entertaining and fun. Loves people and loves other dogs. Great with kids. You have to watch him though as he will countersurf! AUSSIE is a wonderful little gal-pulled from Campbell County shelter right before euthanasia. She had had a litter of puppies but they are all gone. Aussie has a very sweet temperment, loving and gentle. She's not a dominant dog. She has a beautiful merle coat like an aussie only she has a tail. Good with other dogs too. BARNABY
4 yr Medium (25-50) Male Beagle. Barnaby is a sweet beagle/basset hound mix. He was pulled out of Loudon on the day of his euthanasia.
He was put in the drop box with a note from his family. He is good with children, other dogs
and is very affectionate. He was turned in because he digs under the fence-an easy to fix problem
if one is willing to work with it. He has a wonderful personality-very loving, easy going.

BELLA is a fun loving great husky mix. She was picked up in Townsend by a police officer who didn't want to take her to the shelter. He contacted a friend to foster her. She loves other dogs, great with people and seeks them out. Bella is a young adult. She's doing great in the house-great house manners. She's housebroken and walking very well on a leash. BLAKE is a 1 yr 8 month old Medium (25-50) Male Golden Retriever. Blake is a cute little smooth coat collie, hound, golden retriever mix pulled out with his 3 sisters from the Monroe County shelter. He's sweet and playful. Blake loves to give kisses. He can climb a 5 ft chain link fence so he will need to be secured. Gets along well with other dogs. Appears to be around a 45-50 lb dog after he's finished filling out. He's neutered, UTD on shots, Heartworm negative and on preventative. He's been dewormed. Will be microchipped soon. |

BO is a wonderful dog! He has a sweet temperment and loves people. Bo has been exposed to dogs, cats, young children (which he adores!), goats and horses. He appears to want to be an only dog. He isn't demanding but sure loves to cuddle and play. Bo is about 3 yrs old. He has had it tough due to no fault of his own. He was adopted from the Monroe county shelter and then brought back in as a 10 month old because they were moving. He was grabbed at the last minute and readopted to a family with kids, goats, cats, horses. He is being sent back to rescue because of moving again. This time-he needs a forever home! Can you give him the home he deserves? Bo is completed vetted and microchipped. |

BOGIE (black and white) and REMBRANDT(white and tan) are approximately 9 year old bassett/beagles and are litter mates. They arrived to their loving home when they were only 8 weeks old and have been raised together. They have been well cared for by their owner who recently passed away unexpectedly. They have had continuous well vet care over the years and have all of their vet records available. Both dogs are very healthy, happy, loving dogs. They also are on Frontline plus for fleas and ticks and take intercept for heartworms. Rembrandt is very playful and curious. He also has a big smile on his face when he sees you and loves to follow you everywhere so not to miss anything. Bogie is the serious of the two. He does enjoy his own time alone but will also let you know when he needs his "hugs and kisses". He also loves to outwit Rembrandt. In the past, the dogs enjoy daily walks and love being with ot her dogs. Both are very good with kids and adults alike. They adapt well to different environments easily even when cats are in the household. Photos of the dogs are avaiable from puppy to adulthood. Both dogs are housebroken and will let you know if they need to go outside. They have been raised as both indoor and outdoor dogs. They came from a fenced backyard with access to a doggie door. They both also have their own doggie beds which they love to sleep on. I am caring for these loving creatures in the loss of my dear friend. BOJANGLES is a sweet loving younger lab (sold to a family as a pure black lab but doesn't appear to be 100% pure). he's about 40lbs full grown. He's neutered, UTD on shots, hw negative and on preventative and dewormed. He has wonderful house manners and is housebroken. He will chew a bit but this problem is solved with chew bones. Bojangles is great with other dogs and would probably do best with another dog. He has the desire to please and will do anything to please. He isn't a dominant dog at all. |

BON 1 year 6 month old Medium (25-50) Male Golden Retriever mix. Bon is Cinna/Nutmeg and Spice's brother. Bon gets along very well with the other dogs and loves to be with dogs. He would make a great second dog (but he loves the attention the first dog gets!). He won't be as big as his breed. He appears to be full grown and he's around 37lbs. He's very affectionate and sweet. He is quiet, not a big barker (I rarely hear him bark). He's UTD on his shots, neutered, dewormed and HW negative. He's been on interceptor for heartworms. Soon to be microchipped. Little brown dogs often get overlooked for the ones that catch the eye but Bon has a wonderful personality-what you have to live with! |

BRIANNA is a 1 yr 8 month old Medium (25-50) Female Golden Retriever. She has an adorable personality-very sweet and loves to please. She's the sister to Blake, Bryden and Brittany (adopted). The litter has golden retriever, hound, and smooth coat collie in them. She's sweet and affectionate. She loves to be held and loved. She's crate trained and doing well with housebreaking. She gets along well with other dogs. The four of them were pulled out of the Monroe County Shelter right before euthanasia. Brianna has completed her shots, is spayed and heartworm negative. BROWNIE is a sweet, affectionate dog taken out of the Monroe County shelter along with several litters of puppies (now young adults). She has thrived in rescue--just wanting to be loved. She is very affectionate and good to come when called. She can get over a 5 ft gate but only tries when her buddy is on the other side. She is looking for someone who will love on her and give her the wonderful attention she deserves. She is good with children-learning currently not to jump up. BUDDY is a sweet boy that was tied to a truck. Unfortunately the previous owners let the chain around his neck cut into his neck. He's healing well now. He's been taken in by kind people who are taking good care of him. He's leash trained, good with kids, doing great in the house and learning how the good life is. He is also afraid of cats! Not a hunting dog. Buddy is neutered, UTD on shots, dewormed and still in the process of getting his vetting done. |

CHANCE 4 year old lab mix. Chance is a lab/black and tan mix that came out of Monroe county shelter right before euthanasia. He has a wonderful personality-loving and playful but settles down very well. He loves the water. His temperment is very nice-very sweet boy. He gets along very well with other dogs. He doesnt climb or jump fences nor does he dig. He loves to cuddle. Chance would be a good dog around children as well. He isn't cat tested yet. He's in the process of being vetted.

CHLOE is a very sweet dog that was turned into the Loudon shelter in Loudon TN. Pulled right before euthaniza. She gets along very well with other dogs and loves people. She is also good with kids. Chloe hasn't met a stranger. She is spayed, UTD on shots, microchipped and HW negative. She is doing very well with housetraining too. Chloe is around 3 yrs old and doesn't appear to be a big chewer. She's good on a leash and loves to go on walks. She is a well mannered dog in the house. She was shot by her neighbor back last year and apparently her recent owners still let her run loose. They did spend a considerable amount of money getting her knee fixed and you can't tell to watch her walk/run that there is a problem. She has pins in the knee. She is a wonderful, lovable dog waiting to be loved again! |

CHRISI My name is Chrisi, short for Christmas Snow. I was born on Christmas day & it was snowing. I almost died but some nice people brought me back. They had saved my mother from abuse and then my brother, sister, & I were born. The landlord said that we HAD to go! I was scared when I first came into rescue but I've made great strides now that I see that people are going to take care of me. I'm a little shy but I warm up quickly and will be your best friend. CINNA 1 yr 10 month old Medium (25-50) Female Golden Retriever mix. Cinna is the cutest little thing. She has a very winsome personality--loves to approach people and say hi. She is affectionate and gentle, quiet. She loves to sit beside you. She's a cuddler. She appears to have some golden retriever and maybe a little red bone but is going to be much smaller than either of these breeds. She appears full grown and is around 35lbs. She is quiet-not a barker. She does have a slight hound sound to her bark but doesn't bark like a hunting hound. She will also be a good protector. CRIMSON was found wondering as a stray near Rutledge Pike in Knoxville. Several kind people are currently feeding him. He's very much at risk and needs a home immediately. He's very affectionate, has a wonderful easy going temperment and loves to be petted. Would make a good family pet it seems. |

FENWAY is an adorable, sweet little fellow-solid white and fluffy. He is around 3-4 months old. Pulled out of the shelter in Campbell county the day of euthaniza along with his sister and brothers. He is going to be large as he's about 25lbs or so. He appears to be a pyr/collie mix-nose is a little longer but the rest looks like pyr. He has a great little personality-loves to play and have a good time. He's fine with other dogs and he's fine with cats. He loves children. His front right paw has been injured and he has a contracture in the last joint that is currently being worked on. He will need ongoing tx to help him get this stretched out and to weight bear on it again. He appears to have a peripheral nerve injury which should correct itself slowly. GINGER 3 yr 4 month old Medium (25-50) Female Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog mix. Hi, my name is Ginger. I'm around three years old. I have a beautiful coat and I'm very fast. I love to run around in my fenced in yard (I will have to have a fence)and play with a ball. I'm very smart too! I am timid though because no one had a chance to work with me. When I was a puppy, I saw my mom killed by a car right in front of me. It really traumatized me. I was taken to the vet and then adopted to a family that didn't appreciate me. They either left me outside or kept me in a basement. Their son would come and play with me and I love children because of this. I have so much potential but you will have to be patient with me. Can I find someone who will give me a chance? Oh, I forgot to tell you, I'm spayed, microchipped, UTD shots, HW negative, on HW preventative, and dewormed. |

GRETCHEN is an adorable border collie mix--med length hair. She loves people-she loves to be with you on a regular basis. She hasn't shown separation anxiety even though she wants to be beside you. She's housebroken, crate trained and child tested! (currently in a home w/ a 2 yr old and doing well). Gretchen gets along with other dogs very well--plays well but enjoys her family more than dogs. Tends to like women a little more than men it seems. She's up to date on shots, HW negative and on preventative, microchipped w/ an AVID chip and dewormed. Soon to be spayed as well. He has an easy going personality-just enjoys being with you. He rides
well in the car. He seems to get along well w/ other dogs-doesn't challenge them.
Jake isn't bad to jump-enjoys walks and walks well on a leash. He's fully vetted.

JAKE (2) is a sweet 2 yr old boy that was abandoned by his owner at a vet office. When the vet office threatened to send him to the shelter-one of the vet techs took him on. She has had to board him at a kennel and it's getting very expensive. Time is running out for Jake. He's a wonderful boy. Loves people, very affectionate. Loves car rides. Enjoys walks in the woods. He's a mix of dobie (has a docked tail) and coonhound. He's good with other female dogs but would be best not adopting to a home with male dogs. As is typical of a lot of coonhounds-he's cat aggressive. Wonderful dog. Would you consider a sweet boy that is just wanting to be loved again? He's neutered, UTD on shots, dewormed.

JAKE (3) is a cute little beagle mix pulled out of Campbell County shelter right before euthanasia. He gets along really well with other dogs-even shares a crate with another male dog. He's in the process of vetting. He's a sweet boy-loves attention. Loves to play and run around in the backyard. Not a dominant boy. Young adult. JAKE AND EMMA are two sweet, loving dogs that were dumped at a trailer park. A kind woman who feeds cats took them in because they were chasing the cats and were about to be picked up by animal control. They have wonderful temperment and are very attached to each other. Looking to adopt them out together if possible but they can be split up. They are completely vetted and housebroken. They are around 1-2 yrs old.

KIPLING is a cutie! He's a golden retriever mix puppy about 12 wks old or so. Pulled out of Campbell county shelter right before euthanasia. He's a lot of fun and loves to play and run around. He's very friendly with people and loves to come and say hi! Loves tummy rubs. Kipling has been exposed to lots of dogs and is learning doggy manners from the older dogs. KONICHI is a beautiful red nose pure breed pit with papers. She is spayed and UTD on shots. She is also microchipped. She is great with children (young-2 yr old) and has been in a home with an am bulldog-doing just fine with this dog. Very sweet, loving temperment. Very affectionate. No aggression. She's housebroken. Her owners are moving out of state and the landlord won't allow a pit in their apt. complex.

LIDA came from the Loudon shelter. I was over at their shelter and was leaving and she somehow got out and came running to me. I didn't have the heart to take her back. Lida is adorable. She has bright blue eyes like the aussie and the size of the aussie but the coloring of a germ shep (tan and black). She loves to be brushed. She loves to be beside you--very affectionate and sweet. She gets along well with dogs, cats and birds. She's housebroken and she's very obedient. She has been around children and doing well but is still a little afraid of being picked up. She is making progress over this as she learns to trust. She's had her shots and will soon be spayed and microchipped. Wonderful dog. Breed: Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog. MAE is a wonderful, affectionate, playful dog. She loves to run around in a fenced in yard. she hasn't tried to get ot either. May gets along well with other dogs of both sexes. She doesn't challenge other dogs. She would make a great second dog, esp if you need a playmate that has a little energy. May settles down well and is learning to cuddle. She clearly hasn't had the opportunity of having a lot of affection and love but she's thriving on it. She does have a coonhound bark and will be a good watchdog too. she's in the process of being vetted. Plott Hound Mix. Medium size (up to 50 lbs). 1 years 3 months old.

MAGGIE is a sweet female dog. She is about 10 months old as of 11/2005. She is very playful with other dogs. Maggie is a fun loving confident little puppy--well socialized with other dogs. She's been around cats and many different types of dogs and does well w/ both. She is energetic and would do well w/ kids and dogs to play with. She loves children. She's been around children from ages 2-12 and thrives. She is learning not to jump up on them. She is now crate trained and doing well with housebreaking. Maggie weighs about 16 lbs. MEGHAN was born on Christmas day 2002. (She is Crisi's sister - below). She is a very sweet dog. She is a shep/chow -- medium sized (about 30-35 lb.). She looks like a small chow. Meghan enjoys playing ball and loves to come to you for attention. She will sit with you but only until something else grabs her attention. Meghan gets along great with male dogs. She has a little bit more of a dominant personality, so she will need to be with a male that is less assertive or she needs to be an only dog. Meghan hasn't been tried with children or with cats. is an adorable little 5-6 m old shep mix.

MIRACLE
is truly a little miracle. First, she came from a dairy in the country
where the animals aren't taken care of. Many of the dogs are semi feral. She and her two sisters were pulled out at
about 6 wks. Unfortunately the other two died of parvo and Miracle almost did. She pulled through even though the
vet didn't think she would. She's doing wonderfully now-very playful, healthy, happy and has loads of energy!
A wonderful, smart little puppy now about 10-12 wks. Her mom is a black chi mix and her dad appears to be a corgi mix.

MISTY Female Yellow Labrador Retriever/Greyhound mix. Hi! I'm Misty! I came into rescue because a kind rescuer in pulled me out of the shelter and found my new friend to take care of me. I was turned in because I got poison ivy on the son when he played with me! I didn't know that I wasn't supposed to roll in it. I so much want to please people--if they would just give me a chance. I haven't had training but I am learning not to jump up and not to play too hard. I have been told that I am smart! I think my heritage is yellow lab, shepherd, and greyhound. Two of my favorite things to do are walking on a leash or cuddling up next to you on the couch. I get along well with other dogs (both male and female) and love to play. I would do well either as an only dog or a second dog. I'm spayed, UTD shots, dewormed, microchipped, & HW negative. I'm also good on a leash and housebroken (crate trained too!). |

ADOPTION PENDING MOLLIE My name is Mollie and I'm up for adoption. I and my buddy, Daisy, have been through this before but here we are again. We were adopted at different times from the Oak Ridge shelter. The family adopted us for their kids. At first they really liked us but I guess they grew tired of us. We didn't grow tired of them. How I wanted to play with them. They would let me out of my pen sometimes and I would have the best time running. Well, I believe my family is splitting up now so we have been tossed aside. Why do people do that? When I was taken in by a kind rescuer, they said I was almost dead from whipworms. I weighed less than 35lbs! Well, I'm making up for it now. Food never tasted so good! I have so much love to give and have wanted to for years. Despite all, I have fallen in love with my foster mom and she assures me that my day for a forever home that will adore me is coming soon. I sure hope so. I would be best as an only dog and absolutely no cats! I'm spayed and I'm microchipped. I'm up on my shots and I'm heartworm negative. They give me a pill for this too. I'm a pretty black lab mix that will fill your heart--you just see! |

He's about 4 months old. He was taken in as a stray and is healthy and well cared for. He is UTD on his shots.
Patches just loves people and loves to play and chase a stick. His life is very much at risk because the landlord
has changed their mind-originally told this family that they could keep this dog then now says they can't.

She loves the water and would do great at the lake. Riva really wants to please-she wants to be

SAJEN was taken out of the Monroe County shelter. She would hardly make eye contact while over at the shelter. Once getting in her new setting, she has thrived. She is interactive, playful and very loving. She loves to sit beside you and gaze with adoration and gratefulness. She is good with children -- not overbearing. SASHA is a cute little terrier (looks to be part schnauzer) that was found in front of a nursing home. she was found by a friend of mine at a nursing home. They took her in and got her vetted but couldn't hang onto her as she was getting over their four-foot fence. They turned her into a shelter and I tracked her progress there. When it was clear she wasn't going to adopt and her time was up, I pulled her. She left on transport to Western NY on 9/1/06. She has a family looking at her. She was found by animal control in Loudon county dumped on the side of the road with 4 puppies (all BC and aussies). They weren't her puppies but she didn't abandon them. SIA Age: 5 yrs 1 months old as of 6/2006. Large (50-80) Female Shepherd mix. Sia is a shepherd mix that has a beautiful red coat. Sia belonged to a homeless family I was helping one summer. I fed her and received permission to microchip her. It's a good thing because when they skipped town without warning, Sia went with them. I received a call from Nashville telling me that Sia had ended up in the kill shelter in Nashville. They traced Sia to me because of the microchip! I got her and she is doing well. Sia has a shepherd personality. She's spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, & HW negative. Her birth date was around 5/2001. She needs a fenced in backyard, as she loves to run and play. Sia loves other dogs her size or bigger. She is extremely sweet but somewhat shy. Once she warms up to you though, she is very loyal & loving. SOCKS Weighing approximately 55 lbs. and year and a half in age. He would be good with another adult dog or by himself and good with older children. He is an active inquisitive dog eager to please. He has a lab personality. He is house broken and crate trained. He will sit for treats and sit to be fed. He walks well on leash and is working on come and sit commands. With consistent training he would easily become a wonderful companion. He would also be a good running buddy for someone. He loves to play, carry his rope toy around or lie in the sun. He is used to being an indoor /outdoor dog. He has been neutered and has all his shots. He has not been tested with cats. Lab mix.
